After Hours Care

Booking an After Hours Assessment

After hours clinic availability is by phone call only.
Patients of Sheddon Medical are able to attend any of the after hours clinics below.

What to expect

All calls to the After-Hours Clinic will be triaged.
Depending on the nature of the concern you will be offered a phone call, video or in person appointment. If the concern is not suitable for After-Hours Clinic, you will be advised to contact your family physician’s office.

  • Always bring a valid health card for each person or you may be charged for the visit.
  • Narcotics & controlled substances WILL NOT be prescribed or renewed at our after- hours locations. Please see your family doctor.
  • If you experience chest pain or tightness, or symptoms of stroke, call 911.

Please do not contact the After-Hours Clinic for routine prescriptions and assessments and contact your regular physician as they may be able to assess you by a virtual visit.

Services Unavailable at After Hours Clinic

  • Emergency care (chest pain/extreme pain)
  • Prescriptions that are Narcotics such as Opiates, Benzodiazepines, ADHD, sleeping aid medications
  • Referrals
  • Forms
  • Physicals or Pre-ops
  • Follow up, test results
  • Injections
  • Ear syringing
  • Wound care, dressing change or suturing
  • TB testing
  • Wart treatment
  • Immunizations
