After Hours during COVID-19

Please do not attend the After Hours Clinic (AHC) for routine prescriptions and assessments and contact your regular physician as they may be able to assess you by a virtual visit.

If you are having respiratory symptoms, please refer to the comments above in FAQ 1 & 2 on our Sheddon Patient letter on the home page of our website.

If you have had travel history in the past 14 days, please do not come to the After Hours Clinic and contact your regular physician.

After hours care options not requiring hospital facilities or nursing:

  1. Telephone medical advice from a nurse is available after-hours Monday to Thursday 5pm to 9am, Friday 5pm to Monday 9am, and all statutory
    holidays; phone 1-866 553-7205
  2. After hours clinics (AHC) are available Monday to Friday 5pm to 8pm.

BEFORE attending the AHC, call 905 844 3281
between 5pm and 7pm Monday to Friday for screening and triage.

The visit will likely be conducted over telephone and only in certain circumstances will patients be allowed into the office to be seen.

Always bring a valid health card for each person or you may be charged for the visit. Narcotics & controlled substances WILL NOT be prescribed or renewed at our after hours locations. Please see your family doctor.

If you experience chest pain or tightness, or symptoms of stroke, call 911.

Please be aware the following services are NOT offered at the After Hours Clinic:

  • Emergency care (chest pain/extreme pain)
  • Prescriptions that are Narcotics such as Opiates, Benzodiazepines, ADHD, sleeping aid medications
  • Referrals
  • Forms
  • Physicals or Pre-ops
  • Follow up, test results
  • Injections
  • Ear syringing
  • Wound care, dressing change or suturing
  • TB testing
  • Wart treatment
  • Immunizations
